The Lafkenche Law was created to formalize the ancestral connection of Indigenous peoples to the Chilean coast through the establishment of Marine Coastal Areas for Indigenous Peoples. Its implementation after two decades reveals a critical gap between the intended legal framework and the administrative reality. This proposal offers solutions within the current legal framework.
